In the 2021-2022 season, violinist Stefan Jackiw returns to a full schedule of live, in-person performances, joining major orchestras across the U.S., Europe, and Asia as a guest soloist. September 17-18, Stefan returns to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra with conductor Robert Spano to perform the highly anticipated world premiere of Conrad Tao's violin concerto, written specifically for him. April 29-May 1, 2022, he reprises the concerto with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra led by Kirill Karabits. On November 6-7, Stefan makes his return to The Florida Orchestra, performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, and heads back to the Indianapolis Symphony in May for performances of the Korngold Violin Concerto in D Major with conductor David Danzmayr. This season also features Stefan's first ever performance of the Schumann Violin Concerto in D Minor, with the Oregon Symphony and David Danzmayr on May 20-23.
Internationally, Stefan will make his debut with the Orchestre National de Lyon on September 30 & October 2, performing Korngold with Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider. He also makes his debut with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester on October 16, performing Bruch's Scottish Fantasy with Alan Gilbert, and returns to the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in March.
Throughout Spring 2022, Stefan tours the U.S. extensively with pianist/composer Conrad Tao and cellist Jay Campbell for performances as the Junction Trio.
Having further pursued his passion for teaching during quarantine with the creation of Stefan's Sessions, his virtual masterclass series which attracted rising star performers and hundreds of attendees throughout the season, he also begins a faculty position at Mannes School of Music at The New School, and joins violinist Ray Chen's new project, Pocket Conservatory.
