Stefan received an excellent review from the New Jersey Star-Ledger, following his debut with the New Jersey Symphony and frequent collaborator, conductor Christoph König: "In the gypsy-tinged, showy work [Ravel's Tzigane], Jackiw displayed lush vibrato and plenty of bravado as well as impressive dynamic control and a sense of drama. Jackiw was at least as effective in the welcome addition of Dvorak's rhapsodic 'Romance in F Minor for Violin and Orchestra.' As the melody grew more elaborate and took on varied guises, Jackiw employed a warm tone and sensitive phrasing that built to full-toned, almost violent fervor then transitioned seamlessly to blissful sustained notes. He imbued even blazing virtuosic passages with a singing quality as well as vigor, and his intention was always clear."
