On March 19th, Stefan Jackiw made his Cincinnati Symphony debut, playing Bruch's Scottish Fantasy under the direction of Arild Remmereit. The Cincinnati Enquirer raved "Violinist Stefan Jackiw showed how 'stirring' is done in a luminous, perfectly focused performance of Max Bruch’s 'Scottish Fantasy.' Just 24, Jackiw is without doubt a star of the future. Like few violinists who pass through Music Hall, Jackiw was able to speak in a whisper with his instrument and still be heard... Next week, Jackiw makes his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra, playing Mozart under Sir Andrew Davis.
